Ronald Thompson
Ronald is a dynamic individual who has vast experience in working both within sports development and business consulting. He worked in local government for over 12 years using sport as a vehicle to engage with the residents of the boroughs providing them with positive experiences and the opportunities to develop individually and collectively within local communities. He also worked for a private sport marketing firm as well as two sporting charities.
Ronald now uses his experiences from the world of sport to assist businesses make their organisations successful, by enhancing communication, team work, planning and discipline within their organisations. Ronald has a proven track record in providing Leadership training for those wishing to volunteer in a sporting capacity as well as mentoring and enabling the best experience possible. By using these experiences and skills he is able to create opportunities for Leadership to be developed away from the prescribed norms.
He has worked with a wide spectrum of individuals, both young and old, those in organisations and those referred to organisations which aim to provide the tools for them to change behavioural patterns. He has used his experiences and skills with Local Government, BNP Paribas, BNP Paribas Securities, Charterhouse Voice & Data, Renewal East London, The Football Association and various charitable organisations.
Ronald has long association with The Football Association working on the Women's game, he has served as an International Scout at major Football tournaments around the world, giving him the opportunity to experience many different cultures and utilise these experiences to benefit those he has worked with.
Ronald has been a regular speaker at the University of East London and Southwark College providing an insight for those students who are looking forward to careers in sports development.
