Malcolm Arin-Strutt is an accredited executive coach with APECS and also a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with over 30 years experience in enabling individuals and groups to manage change, initially as a manager and then as a trainer and a consultant.
His early career was in R & D in the plastics industry and in technical roles in BBC television where he also trained studio staff. He then became Operations Manager with a Registered Charity and later MD of his own multiple retail health business. He then sold his business and went to university full time for 4 years, graduating in Psychology at Warwick and gaining an MA in Organisational Analysis and Behaviour at Lancaster. He also has a post graduate Diploma in Training Management.
For the past 20 years, he has been a consultant with a portfolio including performance coaching and stress management for Blue Chip company directors and Local Authority executives; the application of psychometric instrumentation in the selection of senior staff for major institutions, and the development of management teams in multi-national and start-up operations. For a period he ran a Partnership focused on conducting Attitude Surveys in large organisations including Parceline, BAe and GlaxoSmithKline. He has a background of experience as an associate of major outplacement and management consultancies including Capita, Right Coutts, CNA International and TXG and has influenced the development of over 7000 managers.
His key strength is in enabling individuals to clarify their direction and manage internal change to effect external performance improvements. He is committed to continuous professional development, having spent the last three years further developing performance coaching skills using NLP, Directive and Non-directive methods, studying current organisational methodologies and attending seminars in business strategy. He is a member of the Coaching Foundation, the Association of Business Psychologists and the BPS Coaching Psychology section.
